Week of Nov. 21-25

This is going to be a very short week. We are going to be mainly talking about Thanksgiving Celebration and the meaning of this holiday. We will list things that we should be thankful for. If you have any books that are related to this holiday, we will really appreciate if you let us borrow them from you.

We will also be reviewing letter A to K. We will be working on recognizing the letters with their sound, letter formation, vocabulary of the letter, remember always emphasizing on the short vowel sounds.

When we come back from our thanksgiving holiday, we will be working with the letter L. For this, we need to start preparing some material we need. We are requesting for each child to bring a medium size lock with a key. Please send it by Wednesday, Nov. 23rd. Thank you.

In math, will be working with numbers. We will work on how to represent and recognize numbers using tally marks, ten frames, number formation, name of the number, one-to-one correspondence, and sequencing. We will continue working this week with numbers 0-10.

For our Thanksgiving celebration we will be doing a “Thanksgiving Breakfast”. We will be making Turkey Pancakes. On Friday, Nov. 18th we sent a note inside the folder, that has written what you should bring on Wednesday, Nov. 23rd. Thank you for your support.

MIDTERM REPORTS – Midterm reports were issued last Friday, November 18th. These should be signed by parents and returned to the teacher as soon as possible. If you would like a conference and one was not requested by the teacher, please call the school to set up an appointment.

In Prekindergarten we learn about many things. We teach our students about sharing and helping out. Angelitos Del Dia is a perfect way to help show our kids just how easy this can be and how we can make a difference in our community.
"Angelitos del Dia" helps out newborn babies born in Materno Infantil here in Tegucigalpa. They provide moms with newborn essentials (blankets, pajamas, socks, hats, wash cloths, towels, diapers, baby wipes, baby soap and baby shampoo).
Please feel free to donate as many items as you wish. Send them in by Monday, November 28th.

Our annual Christmas bazaar is taking soon! For additional information if you´d like to participate send an email to

Remember that there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th. Happy Thanksgiving and stay safe!
