April.1-5

This week we will continue learning about our abc. We will be working on recognizing the letters with their sound, letter formation, vocabulary of the letter, remember always emphasizing on the short vowel sounds. This week we will be studying about the letter Vv. The vocabulary words for this letter are: van, volcano, violin, vegetables, vest, vase, vote, vaccum, vinegar, vet

Child assigned should take at least five (5) items that they have at home that begin with this letter. Items should be at school on Tuesday and we will send them back on Friday. For this week we have Victor Orellana

In math, will continue working with numbers. We will work with numbers 0-13 on how to represent and identify using tally marks, ten frames, number formation, and name of the number, one-to-one correspondence, and sequencing. We will begin working on Positional Words: top, bottom, up, down, in front of, behind, over, under and next to.

In Science we will begin the unit about Ocean Animals. We are going to learning and discussing Ocean life and animals that live in the Ocean. The different between Ocean animals and no Ocean Animals. Some of the vocabulary words we will be focusing are: octopus, fish, seahorse, whale, seaturtle, shark, starfish, jellyfish, crab, dolphin, shrimp, shell

This week we will continue learning about our abc. This week we will be studying about the letter Uu. The vocabulary words for this letter are: under, umbrella, up, upset, upside down, underwear, udder, uncle, umpire

Children assigned should take at least five (5) items that they have at home that begin with this letter. Items should be at school on Monday and we will send them back on Friday. For this week we have Gaia Reyes .

***Note: On Friday, the assigned student, will have to share eatable things for 19 friends such as letter u cookies, umbrella cookies, etc. for children to taste. We do this to close our letter unit.

If you have any books or posters, ideas or any other material that you would like to share with us it would be greatly appreciated.

Easter Celebration is just around the corner. We need your support for this day with 12 plastic eggs and a basket (the size of the basket has to be enough so that the 12 eggs fit in it). 
This coming Friday is a half day. The students 

go home at 11:45.

March . 18-22

We hope daddies had an awesome time in their celebration!

Reminders:
- Every Tuesday Homework is send home. Homework should be back to school on Thursday. Please don’t forget to send the folder back

-Please make sure your child is only bringing toys of the letter of the week we are studying. We have been receiving children with toys that do not belong to the 
letter.



This coming Friday is a half day . The students go home at 11:45. Third quarter conference if you were not asked to come in and would like one,  please let me know.

Child assigned should take at least five (5) items that they have at home that begin with this letter. Items should be at school on Monday and we will send them back on Friday. For this week we have Xue- Zhou Navas 

***Note: On THURSDAY, the assigned students, will have to share eatable things for 19 friends such as tacos, iced tea, tomato, tangarine, toast. for children to taste. We do this to close our letter unit.

  In our Science unit we wil be learnibg about INSECTS . We are going to be discussing different types of insects .Children will get the chance to name them and identify them . Some of the vocabulary words we will be focusing are : bee, ant, mosquito, spider, butterfly, caterpillar , ladybug, grasshopper, dragonfly, fly.


This week the tote bags you purchased will be sent home with your child. This bags are for our  community service project  CEPUDO . Feel free to donate as much as you wish .

March 11-14

Dear Prek Parents,


School Holiday this Friday March 15th.

This week is Evaluation Week of all the concepts we’ve learned this 3rd quarter. Which are :


 Letters L-S: (name, identify, write, sound of the letter ,  all vocabulary , match uppercase and lowercase letters, sequence of abc A-Z ( dot to dot activities), Identify beginning sounds . 

 Numbers 0-12: (name, identify, write, sequence, make set, tally marks , count by 10´s, write numbers 1-12, count 1-40 , missing numbers 1-12

 Fine motor: holding a pencil,coloring, cutting different lines and shapes ,  gluing, punch with toothpicks, straw used as beads, clothespins for finger strength,paper clips for finger movements buttoning something up,  tweezers

In Honduras we celebrate Father's Day on March 19th. We would like to invite all our DADDIES to save the date for Thursday , March 14th at 9:00 a.m. We are planning on having something nice prepared for you. We hope you can come and spend some time with your child at school.

We have talked to the students that we have started the hot season in Honduras. PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE EVERY DAY. Have them wear light clothes;  put sunscreen on their face and arms.
