MIDTERM REPORTS – Midterm reports were issued last Friday, Feb. 15thThese should be signed by parents and returned to the teacher as soon as possible. If you would like a conference and one was not requested by the teacher, please call the school to set up an appointment.

There will be no school on Monday February 18 th. Classes resume on Tuesday February 19 th. 



Reminders:
- Every Tuesday Homework is send home. Homework should be back to school on Thursday. Please don’t forget to send the folder back


-Please make sure your child is only bringing toys of the letter of the week we are studying. We have been receiving children with toys that do not belong to the letter.


This week we will continue learning about our abc. We will be working on recognizing the letters with their sound, letter formation, vocabulary of the letter, remember always emphasizing on the short vowel sounds. This week we will be studying about the letter Rr. The vocabulary for this letter is: rabbit, robot, rocket, raccoon, rainbow, run, rhino, rug, ring, red, rose, rake

Child assigned should take at least five (5) items that they have at home that begin with this letter. Items should be at school on Tuesday and we will send them back on Friday. For this week we have Ramon Fuñez 

***Note: On Friday, the assigned students, will have to share eatable things for 18 friends such as rosquillas, raisins, raspberry, rice, ravioli, reese’s, ruffles, ritz cookies, etc. for children to taste. We do this to close our letter unit.

The Little Red Hen, the little red hen finds none of her lazy friends willing to help her plant, harvest, or grind wheat into flour, but all are eager to eat the bread she makes from it

In math, will continue working with numbers. We will work with numbers 0-12 on how to represent and identify using tally marks, ten frames, number formation, and name of the number, one-to-one correspondence, and sequencing. We will also be working with Graphing. Children will be able to represent a number of objects on a graph.

Our Nursery Rhyme this week is: ““Row, Row your Boat”


We are attaching you the link of the videos of this song we will be learning throughout the week. We will learn two versions of this nursery rhyme. Just a little tip to have fun at home listening and acting out our song.


In Social Studies we will continue the unit about Farm Animals. We are going to learning and discussing Farm life and animals that live in the farm. The different between farm animals and no Farm Animals. Some of the vocabulary words we will be focusing are: cow, horse, pig, duck, sheep, rooster, dog, cat, goat, rabbit, donkey, turkey. If you have any books or posters, ideas or any other material that you would like to share with us it would be greatly appreciated.

We have talked to the students that we have started the hot season in Honduras. PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE EVERY DAY. Have them wear light clothes; put sunscreen on their face and arms.
