Hello !!  My name is Monica Rivas . I am so excited to be your  Prekindergarten teacher. It´s  going  to be a great year full of new friends,  adventures and  discoveries. We are going  have fun making things and  of course learning and discovering what is in the world around us.  I believe  in having a happy , positive  working environment . My job is to help students discover the love of learning and provide them oportunities for growth in knowledge and values.

I graduated from Universidad Pedagogica  in 2010 and earned  my Preschool Education degree. This is my 25 th year  teaching preschool. I am excited about this journey and getting to know you.

I would like to work  together with you since I believe that frequent communication is vital. We encourage  you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns at any time . You can send me a note , email at mrivas@discoveryshool.edu.hn or call at  ( 3390-3634  Ms. Monica Rivas )or ( 9500-1700 Ms. Nora Sierra - Assistant Principal ) .  I will also do my part  by posting on our blog each Friday  to update you  on what we have been doing in class as well as things that are up coming . For individual concerns, we will contact you by phone, send a note home on the folder ( please check on daily basic ).

Please feel free to participate in your child´s Prek  year as much as you are able. Helping hands are always needed. Whether it is reading  a story to the class , helping with field trips or class parties, or any other participation will enrich our classroom experiences.
