We would like your support on occasionally review the ABC’s letter names and sound. Here are some songs we use in class every day.

Some of the stories we will be reading this week are:
The Napping House by Audrey Woods Included in the napping house menagerie is a dozing dog, a snoozing cat, a slumbering mouse, and a wakeful flea who ends up toppling the whole sleep heap with one chomp! Don Wood’s delightfully detailed comical illustrations are bathed in moonlight blues until the sun comes up, then all is color and rainbows and a very awake household.

Noisy Nora by Rosemary Wells It's tough being the middle mouse. No one's paying any attention to Nora, so she decides to do something her family can't ignore: make noise. Nora slams windows, bangs doors, and upsets furniture, to no avail. It's not until she crashes out the door--and the house goes strangely silent--that her family realizes: a noisy Nora is much better than no Nora at all. "A wonderful story."

In math, will be working with numbers. We will review numbers 0-10 on how to represent and recognize numbers using tally marks, ten frames, number formation, name of the number, one-to-one correspondence, and sequencing. This week we will be evaluating all these concepts.

We would like your support on occasionally review counting and numbers. Here are some songs we use in class every day:

Our Nursery Rhyme this week is: “1, 2, buckle my shoe
We are attaching you the link of the videos of this song we will be learning throughout the week. We will learn two versions of this nursery rhyme. Just a little tip to have fun at home listening and acting out our song.

In Social Studies we will begin the unit about Transportation. We are going to be discussing the different types of vehicles. Children will get the chance to name vehicles that travel by air, by land and by water. Some of the vocabulary words we will be focusing are: airplane, boat, air balloon, car, bus, bicycle, motorcycle, submarine, ambulance, helicopter, train, fire truck and rocket. If you have any books or posters, or any other material that you would like to share with us it would be greatly appreciated. Children can bring any of these transportation toys they have at home to share and play for 2 weeks.
