- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays children have Motricity class. We are requesting that please send your child with tennis shoes and with shorts or pants. No skirts and no sandals. This is so that your child can be able to participate in every activity done during the class.
-Please make sure your child is only bringing toys of the letter of the week we are studying. We have been receiving children with toys that do not belong to the letter.

This week we will continue learning about our abc. We will be working on recognizing the letters with their sound, letter formation, vocabulary of the letter, remember always emphasizing on the short vowel sounds. This week we will be studying about the letter Mm. The vocabulary for this letter is: mop, mouse, money, mud, monkey, mushroom, mask, moon, microphone, map, markers, magnet.

Children assigned should take at least five (5) items that they have at home that begin with this letter. Items should be at school on Monday and we will send them back on Friday. For this week we have Alejandro (Prek”A”) and Monserrath (Prek”B”).

Note: If you would like to share eatable things such as marshmallows, mandarins, mango, macaroni and cheese, milk, mint candies, mozzarella sticks, M&M, muffins, etc. for children to taste. It would be awesome if instead of Monday you send it on Friday so that we close up our letter unit.
Thank you for your support!!

For Wednesay, Jan. 11th, please send 2 toilet paper rolls and 1 bag of M&M’s (milk chocolate, with NO PEANUTBUTTER). Thank you!

Some of the stories we will be reading this week are:
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff The consequences of giving a cookie to this energetic mouse run the young host ragged, but young readers will come away smiling at the antics that tumble like dominoes through the pages of this delightful picture book.

The Mitten by Jan Brett One by one, woodland animals find it and crawl in; first, a curious mole, then a rabbit, a badger and others, each one larger than the last. Finally, a big brown bear is followed in by a tiny brown mouse and what happens next makes for a wonderfully funny climax.

In math, will be working with numbers. We will review numbers 0-10 on how to represent and recognize numbers using tally marks, ten frames, number formation, name of the number, one-to-one correspondence, and sequencing.

Our Nursery Rhyme this week is: “Little Miss Muffet”
We are attaching you the link of the videos of this song we will be learning throughout the week. We will learn two versions of this nursery rhyme. Just a little tip to have fun at home listening and acting out our song.

In Social Studies we will begin the unit about Transportation. We are going to be discussing the different types of vehicles. Children will get the chance to name vehicles that travel by air, by land and by water. Some of the vocabulary words we will be focusing are: airplane, boat, air balloon, car, bus, bicycle, motorcycle, submarine, ambulance, helicopter, train, fire truck and rocket. If you have any books or posters, or any other material that you would like to share with us it would be greatly appreciated. Children can bring any of these transportation objects they have at home to share and play for 2 weeks.
